It would have been a 5 star C.D. Too bad. It is one of my favorite contempory Christmas songs. Very nice Christmas C.D. I was disappointed to find thatFaith Hill's hit single, "Where are you Christmas" was notincluded on this C.D. if shehad inculded it.
Faith Hill has put her heart and soul into creating this Christmas CD. It is simply wonderful.
"A Baby Changes Everything" is a moving, contemporary take on the meaning of Christmas. Beautiful. Faith Hill's Christmas album is uplifting and inspiring. The song is told from the view of his Mother Mary, a very young, unmarried teenager -- "a baby changes everything" in her life and in ours.
But with this cd. Her voice is still beautiful of course, but there is NOTHING special about any of the songs or the cd as a whole.
And don't expect too much of Faith's usual style. Even the pacing of some of the individual songs makes it seem like the whole project was rushed through.
To me it seems like it was done quickly and without any thought or creativity - just thrown together in the most basic way possible. But you won't be playing the whole cd through very often.
I'm a huge fan of Faith Hill, and I normally love just about everything does. I can't agree more with the reviewers who say it's boring.
All in all, this is far from the worst Christmas cd I've heard, and it's a fine addition to whatever your regular rotation is.
Faith Hill delivers an excellent product. I highly recommend it. If you are looking for a great Chrismtas CD with the traditional songs both religious and non-religious sung in the tradition manner, this is the one for you. It contains one song "Baby Changes Everything" that is original and so very good.
